Mein Versuch eine Zusammenfassung der bisher veröffentlichten Druckwerke zu erstellen, die sich mit Slotracing, Modellautos, deren Aufbau und Sonstigem beschäftigen.

Ob nun das Buch in gedruckter Form, Jahrbücher, regelmäßig erschienene Zeitschriften oder Magazine, Kataloge als Nachschlagewerke – für viele sind diese Werke noch heute wertvolle Dinge. Zum einen weil es einfach schön ist in Nostalgie (Erinnerung an vergangene Zeiten) zu verfallen, aber auch weil so manch schönes Rennbahnteil mit Hilfe dieser Machwerke datiert und Firmen zugeordnet werden kann. Die Geschichten und Anekdoten der ‚alten‘ Slotracing-Zeit können heute noch fesseln und begeistern.
Das haptische (fühlbare) Erlebnis ist für viele Sammler / Leser noch heute der Grund sich eine Bibliothek in Papierform anzulegen.

Aber auch elektronische Magazine (neudeutsch eBooks) möchte ich hier listen, denn so manch einer der jüngeren Slotfreunde kennt vielleicht nur Veröffentlichungen in Bits & Bytes? :-)

von denen jede tausende Bits an Informationen speichern kann.
Jede Seite lässt sich einfach scannen, was die Informationen direkt in Ihr Gehirn überträgt.
Eine simple Wischbewegung mit dem Finger bringt Sie zur nächsten Seite.
Die Seiten werden verbunden mittels einer Technologie namens „Einband“, die die Seiten in der richtigen Reihenfolge zusammenhält. Dank der intransparent-Papier-basierten Technik können die Hersteller beide Flächen der Seiten nutzen, wodurch sich die Informationsdichte verdoppelt und die Kosten reduzieren.
Der größte Teil der Bücher bietet eine Index-Funktion, die hilft, den exakten Speicherort einer Information zu finden, um sie sofort abrufen zu können.
Dieses wahlweise erhältliche Zubehör, das „Lesezeichen“ erlaubt es, das Buch genau an der Stelle zu öffnen, an der es bei der letzten Sitzung verlassen wurde, selbst, wenn man das Buch zwischenzeitlich geschlossen hat! Die Lesezeichen sind kompatibel zu internationalen Standards, sodass man ein und dasselbe Lesezeichen in Büchern verschiedener Hersteller einsetzen kann. Darüber hinaus kann man mehrere Lesezeichen in ein und demselben Buch verwenden, wenn der Nutzer mehr als eine Suche auf einmal speichern will!
Es ist außerdem möglich, persönliche Notizen zu den Texteinträgen zu speichern, mit Hilfe eines Programmierwerkzeuges, dem „Stift“. Eine Freileseeinrichtung auch bekannt als „Bücherständer“ erlaubt eine korrekte Positionierung des Buches für einfaches Lesen, ohne die Hände zu benutzen.
